Job Overview
The Donor Engagement Manager is ECHO’s primary outward-facing representative for community engagement and donor-facing initiatives. This role is responsible for cultivating relationships, expanding ECHO’s presence within the community, and supporting fundraising efforts through events, direct engagement, strategic partnerships, and third-party fundraising activities. The position oversees community representation, fundraising event strategy and execution, in-kind and community donation drives, and donor system management.
Working closely with the Director of Development, the Donor Engagement Manager manages ECHO’s donor CRM systems and supports donor operations. The role collaborates with the Development Manager on content collection and storytelling, providing stories, photos, and updates from the Atascadero site while offering additional support to the broader Development team as needed. The Donor Engagement Manager leads ECHO’s fundraising events with support from the full Development team and serves as the primary contact for in-kind donations and third-party donation drives connected to the Atascadero site.
This position supervises the Volunteer & Programs Manager, providing leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure programmatic and volunteer efforts are aligned with ECHO’s mission and organizational goals. The Donor Engagement Manager also acts as a shared lead for community donation drives.
