Volunteer & Programs Manager​

Job Overview
Atascadero shelter, where every day brings new opportunities to create positive change! Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, the Volunteer and Programs Manager will work closely with the team, which includes the Shelter Manager and Case Managers, to meet the needs of the ECHO residents and offer enrichment activities throughout the day for adults and children. The Volunteer and Programs Manager will also manage a large volunteer pool for many positions throughout the shelter. This position is also responsible for the recruitment, appreciation, and retention of volunteers through outreach activities.
We are looking for a person who has a can-do attitude, is passionate about engaging individuals experiencing homelessness and/or has experience with this population. We are looking for someone who can work full time, Tuesday - Saturday, 10:30am – 7:00pm, with flexibility for nights and weekends. Reporting to the Administrative Manager, the Administrative Coordinator provides essential administrative and program support for the El Camino Homeless Organization (ECHO). In this role, you will serve to support the operations and daily functions of ECHO by: 1. supporting administrative and office functions, 2. providing financial and data support, and 3. providing program and facility support to the broader team. As part of your role, you will help to maintain a welcoming and professional environment for our clients, staff, volunteers, donors, and community members.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about engaging individuals experiencing homelessness with a trauma-informed approach, someone who takes initiative, has a strong work ethic, and has demonstrated strong technical and administrative skills. This is a full-time position, Tuesday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, Saturday 9:30am - 6:00pm, with flexibility to occasionally adjust hours depending on ECHO’s needs.
