Volunteer & Programs Manager

Job Overview
Atascadero shelter, where every day brings new opportunities to create positive change! Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, the Volunteer and Programs Manager will work closely with the team, which includes the Shelter Manager and Case Managers, to meet the needs of the ECHO residents and offer enrichment activities throughout the day for adults and children. The Volunteer and Programs Manager will also manage a large volunteer pool for many positions throughout the shelter. This position is also responsible for the recruitment, appreciation, and retention of volunteers through outreach activities.
We are looking for a person who has a can-do attitude, is passionate about engaging individuals experiencing homelessness and/or has experience with this population. We are looking for someone who can work full time, Tuesday - Saturday, 10:30am – 7:00pm, with flexibility for nights and weekends. The Case Manager provides information, referrals, and case management to clients. They coordinate services for those in need of permanent housing, medical care, financial assistance, and/or job training, supporting their transition to self-sufficiency. They are responsible for developing client engagement strategies, raising awareness of the program within the community, and developing a pathway to rehousing.
